MY DRUMSET
"Unprocessed drum tool"
My drumset is a professional recorded drumset put into a VSTi plugin. The plugin has outputs for every microphone recorded so you can mix the drums like a real drumset. To be able to use the plugin you need a sequencer that supports VST instruments and multiple outputs such as Nuendo, Cubase, Cakewalk, Sonar, Reaper, Samplitude etc. It is also a Windows plugin and will unfortunatly not work on Linux Ubuntu or Mac OS X.
The drumset is a Ludwig Fab Four Blue Oyster exactly like the Ring Starr drumset. This particular drumset has been used by a huge number of great bands from Scandinavia who have sold platinum records.
This is a BETA version. The finish version will have hihat switching, start on C1 to work with General Midi and will consist of more drumset. It will also be more RAM and CPU friendly. The graphic will also differ from the finished version. The BETA version was meant as a test to see if I was able to create such a plugin. Therefore the sound will improve vastly in the finish version. The finish product will also contain a stereo version.
This beta version consists of 3 velocity layers for each drum and cymbal. That makes it over 600 24 bit wavefiles included in the plugin.
The plugin is divided into 2 because of it size (132 MB). The first one is the main rock version of the drumset and the second one is a padded version which sounds like it's recorded in the seventies.
The sound files are not compressed or EQ’ed at all. This is the raw files coming out of the micpres at Tinnitus Recording before anything is mixed. All other plugins that does this is mixed to sound big and punchy. We leave that up to you.
Mix the drums as you like. Use all the compressors, EQ and reverbs you fancy and make your own unique sound. This is one of the key features of this plugin and one of the reasons why I made it.
How to install:
The plugin consist of two DLL files that you just need to unpack with unrar (http://www.rarlab.com) or any other unpacking program. Then you just move the files to your VST plugin directory.
Extra info:
The plugins will eat up quite a bit of RAM and you need at least 2 GB to be on the safe side. Don't complain, it's free!
